Rimaster acquires Swedish electronics manufacture

Global system provider Rimaster has acquired the Swedish electronics manufacturer Konprod. ”This acquisition will increase Rimaster’s competitiveness within our business area Electronics. It will also strengthen our partnership with our customers through an even better overall offering”, says Pernilla Norman, CEO of Rimaster Group.

Konprod covers the entire value chain within electronics supply – from material procurement and prototype development to serial production. In other words, Konprod will make an excellent addition to Rimaster’s existing offer within electronics.

”This is a strategic acquisition that will strengthen Rimaster’s market position and make us an even more attractive partner to our customers. It will give us access to competence and resources that complement our own. Going forward we will have two production units for electronics and related manufacturing, which creates a strong business advantage, increasing Rimaster’s competitiveness. We will also broaden our customer segments as Konprod’s customers operate in other industries”, says Pernilla Norman.

Konprod has 40 employees and a turnover of 60 MSEK. The acquisition will not affect positions within the company and its operations will remain in Åtvidaberg, Sweden. The company’s previous owners will continue to work in their current roles. Peter Hyltberg, CFO at Rimaster Group, will act as interim CEO during the transition period.

”Rimaster and Konprod have very similar corporate cultures and values. We will integrate the company into the Rimaster family step by step. Together we will proudly continue to build strong partnerships with our customers” says Peter Hyltberg.
